Today's Menu

Here are some meals made with Telegraph Hill kids and Jasmine Hormati Garden and Nutrition Coordinator at Telhi, me and other volunteers.

Fruit skewers with homemade guacamole dressing - we had mixed greens, kale, pineapples, blue berries and cucumber to use for our kebabs.

The guacamole dressing was very interesting and good too, avocado,honey,lemon and olive oil mixed together, then the kids dipped there kebab fruit in, about half of them liked the dip :D

Another day the menu was hummus with Moroccan carrot salad and baked tortilla chips, all homemade!

The kids all helped in the process of making the hummus, carrot salad and tearing apart the tortillas to be baked, it was all delicious and the kids really enjoyed even if it took them a couple tries to like everything, they ended up all asking for seconds of something.
